Rhodiola rosea is also called pink or gold root. The plant received its last name thanks to its roots having a bronze or gilded hue. It is a perennial herb belonging to the species Rhodiola, the family Crassulaceae.
It should be noted that this plant is quite rare, and is listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation . It is protected in all places of growth, with the exception of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Altai, Magadan and the Republic of Tyva.
Range and seasonality
Rhodiola rosea can be found in areas characterized by a cold and temperate climate . Including, and in North America, Great Britain, Ireland, the Alps, the Pamirs.
