Ferragosto - the main holiday of the summer - Italians celebrate in mid-August and spend a massive day on the beaches. This time they were not lucky with the weather: the sea was very stormy, waves covered the bathers and very unpleasant situations arose. But the elements prevented the dog’s holiday in red vests from being spoiled - rescuers who received special training.
More than four hundred graduates of the "Italian school" work on all the main beaches of the country. On Ferragosto's day, rescue dogs excelled in the areas of Campania, Liguria, Sicily and Calabria.
