In Rybnoye (Ryazan Oblast), annually, on the birthday of Sergei Yesenin, a traditional sporting event takes place - a race through the Yesenin places. This time, in addition to four hundred runners from different regions of Russia, a draw dog came to the start.
An unidentified dog appeared before the start of the competition, it was set up very interestedly and actively. Immediately after the start announcement, the dog rushed after the athletes and with them ran to the finish line. They gave her water to drink, treated to dinner and presented a neckerchief from sponsors.
The owners of this pretty runner never showed up. Perhaps the dog, on its own initiative, honored the memory of the poet, who so loved "our smaller brothers."
