Ukraine is a state that is quite remote from the oceans. The territory has a flat character. In connection with these circumstances, the country's climate is considered moderate continental.
Nevertheless, the territory of the state is characterized by very serious differences in such indicators as:
- temperature condition;
- the process of the growing season.
All four seasons are pronounced in this climate zone. Solar radiation is a fundamental factor in the process of climate formation. Climate indicators include with confidence: air temperature, atmospheric pressure, precipitation, wind direction and strength.
Features of the temperature regime
It is important to note that the temperature regime in Ukraine has some fluctuations. Air temperatures in the winter are negative - an average of 0 ... -7C. But the average indicators of the warm season are: + 18 ... + 23C. Changes in temperature are manifested in different ways in each region of the state.
The Carpathian Mountains can “boast” the greatest amount of precipitation. Here there are at least 1600 mm per year. Regarding the rest of the territory, the numbers are much lower: they range from 700-750 mm (north-western part of the state) and 300-350 mm in the south-eastern region of the country. However, there are also dry periods in the history of this state.
It is important to note that 65-70% is an indicator of air humidity (average annual). In the summer, there is a decrease of up to 50%, there is a serious evaporation of moisture. As a result of all this, the amount of precipitation is rapidly increasing. The process of moisture accumulation falls on such seasons as autumn, winter and spring.
Climate of Ukraine
Conditions and climatic conditions are favorable for farming. Ukraine is not overtaken by such natural phenomena as storms, tsunamis and earthquakes. However, there are some unpleasant climatic conditions - heavy rains, hail, fog. Frosts are possible, as a result of which the percentage of yield is rapidly decreasing. Glaze is a common occurrence for winter in this country. With some regularity, dry periods occur (every three years).
Also not out of place will be the risk of such a phenomenon as convergence of avalanches. This feature is typical for the mountainous regions of the country. Another hallmark of this state’s climate is floods. They happen quite often in the western regions.
